According to the research of AHA, 70% of the people who experienced their first heart attack have high blood pressure. Moreover, one of the reports from the National Center for Health Statistics shows that hypertension and heart disease are high correlated. The study found that two out of every ten young hypertensive patients aged from 18 to 24 years old have heart diseases, four out of every ten middle-aged hypertensive patients aged from 45 to 54 years old have heart diseases, and up to 70% of the elderly hypertensive patients aged from 75 to 79 years old have heart diseases.
Most people who have cardiovascular diseases understand the importance to monitor their blood pressure regularly. Since they are also the high-risk groups of heart diseases, monitoring blood pressure and ECG at the same time could help them not only control their cardiovascular health, but also monitor their cardio health. This could help them detect heart diseases early, and have a better control of their life.
